This publication is different from others because it directs it's issues towards "The Triangle Colleges" Carolina, NC State and Duke and also applies to public universities. It does not span past issues not relating to college life. Unlike traditional newspapers with topic stories that seem to blend in together with important issues being overlooked or unnoticed because of the wide range of articles cluttered on one page of paper.
The issues distributed in the local triangle are being pick-up and read as fast as copies are distributed which has called for a great increase in publication numbers produced. Also there have been tremendous numbers of reader response's about the quality and interesting articles including opinions on the topics.
The topic's and issues published directly affect university and college student life but not on specific incidences or happenings. The main purpose is to make important issues affecting colleges aware to students and the public. Some topics in the publication are campus underage drinking, tuition increases, pursuading student's to voice opinions, life after college, tuition assistance, student perq's & discounts, college town hot spots, faculty salaries vs. student funding, college statistics, private contributions to colleges, colege budgeting, sports statistics and more.
