Welcome to the Christ King Computer Lab!
At Christ King, the computer lab offers our students the ability to learn and grow as individuals by using programs and software that review the basic skills needed by everyone and encourages discoveries found on the Internet.
Are you interested in a kid-friendly e-mail program? Try out zoobuh.com. Parents receive notifications and copies of e-mails sent to and from their children. Only approved addresses are allowed to send messages to your children. Check it out!
Do you wish that those inappropriate ads on the side of your web browser would disappear? They can...Using Mozilla Firefox add-ons will eliminate the ads at once.
1. Mozilla.com
2. Click on Add-ons at the top of the screen
3. Type in ad block in the search box and press enter.
4. Scroll down until you see Ad Block Plus. (Red stop sign)
5. Click on Add to Firefox.
6. Click on Install.
7. Restart Firefox.
8. When it restarts, Firefox will show you options for updates. Pick the first one. Click OK.
9. You're set! You should no longer see ads appear on your pages as you search/surf the Internet.
Summer Tip...students in 5th-8th grade for the 09-10 school year should continue working on their typing skills. Five to ten minutes every day or 30 to 45 per week would be wonderful! :o)
Remember to follow the techniques below:
1. Sit up straight!
2. Feet flat...not swinging around...
3. Hands on Home row!
4. Eyes on what you're typing...screen or paper...
5. Wrist up...not resting on keyboard or table...
