THE RAINHAT ORACLES
THE RAINHAT ORACLES
In an old hobo camp in a train yard on the outskirts of Anytown, USA, his hat-upside down on the dusty earth- caught the rain of a passing late afternoon thunder storm...Lonesome & beaten down by a world gone wrong, he gazed into that hat full o’ rain and he begin to See things...at first only reflections, the clouds, wispy rippling trails of mist against the blue, a bird flyin home to her nest, trees blowin in the sudden wind, but then the water begin to move in a mysterious way & as he watched it grew dark & smokey & red as the sunset & soon Apparitions - ghosts, travelers, strange caravans of people -eyes sparking & voices speaking- & places & events & miracles & an avalanche of flashin' images, the kind of things you see in death fevers or in dreams when the moon is full -of times that have gone by , that are now, or are yet to be...
