RECENT SHOWS 2005 THE STONE CHURCH BRATTLEBORO VT
A guest appearance by Elric Walker with good friend
and early mentor John Coster who headlined with his celtic flavoured
Medicine Band at The Stone Church in Brattleboro VT on May 21st.
A very intimate (translation: not alot of people came out to this show) but
enthusiastic audience. The atmosphere in this old stone church is beautiful
and dark with large stained glass windows of deep reds and blues.
It had the feeling of stepping into a Davinci painting. Elric appearing in
grey fedora , gold shirt, black jeans with gold sun belt, gave a high
octane performance that included the songs
"Ain't No Use In Cryin" and got the Medicine Band-Katherine First on violin,
Jeff Henrichs on percussion, Rick King on electric lead, Rich Cahillane on bass,
and Coster on harp- to dig into the bluesy
"You Got A Way About You".
John Coster and the Medicine Band performed a great selection of traditional celtic
tunes along with Costers beatuiful and poetic songs of love and history.
This was a great team up of two exceptional poet troubadours. Should it happen
again-DON'T MISS IT!!!
