CHAOS
GENESIS...According to Greek mythology there was nothing but darkness in the beginning. There was only Chaos, vast and dark. From this void arose the unknowable place where death and night reside. There was a silent and infinite darkness. Erebus was the darkness and Nyx was the night.
Somehow love (Eros) was born in the darkness. Love which softens hearts brought forth the light. Once there was light and day,then appeared Gaea, the earth goddess. She is the mother of the Titans. Nyx (night), Erebus (darkness), Tartarus (the underworld) and Gaea (earth) are the children of Chaos. They are the primeval powers that gave rise to the rest of the Greek gods and goddesses.
Gaea first bore Uranus, she made him her equal, that he entirely covered her. He is the god of the sky and the first ruler. Uranus and Gaea produced many offspring. The three Cyclopes, the Hecatoncheires, and the twelve Titans.
