Poetry by Mary McTaggart

From Sullivan's Short Stories

Three haikus:

"Kisses of the Sun" Contrary spirits
Extraordinary passion
Oceanic depth
Harmonious bond
Silent empathic eyes watch
To learn, to consume
Kisses of the sun
Divine are the faces that
Shine bright in ardor

...Dreams ...Dreams.

A kaleidoscope of shattered, stained glass.
A whirlwind of photographs,
Stuttering images,
Wrecked trains of thought.
Consciousness fades, a new awareness begins.
Spirited, breath taking, frightening.
A way to explore hidden desires,
To bring society's anathemas to light.
O, what a wonderful, terrible place is this,
Our minds' inner sanctum,
Where we all are equal.
