My Dune Web Page
Hey everybody. I made this web page because a love the "Dune" games and books so much! Ands I strongly suggest that play and read both.
Since this is my first web page it isn't the greatest. So please bare with me.
There are several "Dune" games; Dune I, Dune II, dune 2000, Emperor: battle for dune, and a couple more.
I have played Dune II and dune 2000. dune two is quite an old game, infact I got it in about 1994. Dune 2000 came out, I think, in 1998 (that's just a guess).
The novals came out or were writen in 1965, by Frank Herbert.
Frankly these are the best books I have ever read. There are, I'm pertty sure about thiis one, six books; Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, Chapterhouse: Dune. I have yet to finish reading God Emperor of Dune and to read Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse: Dune. But the three that I have read were great.
The games are just a good, though they sometimes aren't very related to the Books. Infact Dune II was the game that got me hooked on RTS, Real Time Strategy, games.
Though i haven't played Dune II and a couple of years i still like dune 2000. Dune 2000 is a remake of Dune II but with more missions, options, and better graphics.
In Dune there are three great houses, or teams; The noble Atreides, the insidious Ordos, and the evil Harkonnen. But ordos was never in the books, that I have anyways. Each team have their own advantages and disadvantages. Other subhoses from the book are in Dune 2000; Fremen, native people to the plantet dune, smugglers, mercenaries. You will also encouter the Emperor's Sardaukar. They are a very strong infantry, But can easyly be ran over by your tanks. I could go on and on about Dune but it would take me for ever.
