THE DRAGON KING
Once in a time of never ending suffering, there was a young dragon named Canabis. His family were the supreme rulers of the Dragon Kingdom. He was the proud prince. His father, King Cyan, and his mother, Queen Julian were very proud of him and hoped that one day Canabis would step up to the throne and take his rightful place as King. The Dragon Kingdom was a land of peace where all dragons could prosper and grow as they wished. There was only one thing that the dragons feared the most.
Beyond the boundaries of life, in the darkest corners of Earth, there was a land of unspeakable evil. It was a natural phenomenon where Hell had risen up from its darkest depths and become one with the Earth. As Hell rose, so did it's minions, the reapers of death, monsters with bloody horns sticking out of their heads, rows of razor sharp teeth, and claws that could tear flesh with the greatest of ease. Giant goblins also roamed the land. Their eyes were blood red, they were rotting corpses of peeling flesh and scabs. They brandished stone clubs that could crush mountains with a single blow. Aside from the creatures, there were also supernatural beings spawned from the spirits of past civilizations, tormented souls with no remorse and no conscience. They were ghosts with an eerie green glow about them. They carried a sickle, dripping with the blood of it's victims, all they knew was death and eternal damnation. They had the strange power to make the dead arise from their graves and do their evil biding. Above all these creatures of evil was a supreme power. The king of Hell and all its minions, Satan himself. A soulless monster with horns like a bull, a long tail with poisonous spikes at the end and a magical staff with all the powers of evil. He ruled with a bloody fist of fire.
Canabis's parents made him promise never to go to this terrible land. King Cyan explained to his son that every brave dragon that has ever dared set foot on Hell and battle with Satan's minions has been dealt death. He said ,"Son, you are the successor to my throne and I shall mourn the day that you should not take my place as King","We have battled in the past, but there was no hope in defeating Satan so a truce was agreed to, but we still live in fear for if Satan should ever come here to take our land, we would not be among the living for long."" Canabis had great respect for his father and so he promised that he shall never step foot on Hell. From that day on, Canabis was fearful of his fathers words and every night he would pray for the peace and happiness of the kingdom.
Years had passed and Canabis was almost fully grown. His parents had grown old and weak over time. The Dragon Kingdom had prospered much and everything had become so beautiful. It was the season where the grass was its greenest and crops were their ripest. There was not one unhappy soul even if you searched far and wide. The Dragon Kingdom was it's safest now for a wall had been built around the land and guards were constantly on alert on the wall or in the air looking for possible intruders. There was to be a feast on that night to celebrate the changing of the crown. Prince Canabis was very exited. King Cyan said to his son, "Tomorrow, you shall take your rightful place as King, I bid you good fortune and a prosperous future". With these words, Canabis fell asleep in his fathers arms and dreamt the sweetest of dreams.
The next day, all the dragons in the kingdom, except for the guards, gathered in front of the king's castle. The, once empty and quiet yard, was turned into a crowded festival with food, music and dancing galore. Everyone was enjoying themselves and having not a care in the world. The royal family stayed inside the castle walls and had a quiet dinner by themselves. King Cyan asked his son. "What do you plan to do when you become king?'. Canabis responded. "I shall keep the peace and love my fellow dragons as you do, father." Canabis's parents smiled at this and resumed eating their meal. Suddenly, there was a loud noise outside. Dragons were screaming and flying everywhere. The royal family went up to the highest tower in the castle and looked out the window. In the distance, they what they could not believe. Two giant goblins had managed to break down a piece of the giant wall protecting the Dragon Kingdom. They could see that the guards were flying overhead of the goblins waiting for help to arrive. The two giants were inside now and were crushing innocent dragon's homes beneath their feet. The dragons were armed with spears and began throwing them at the beasts like javelins. One of the spears managed to prick the eye of one of the giants. Raving in pain and agony, the giant began to swing wildly into the air. The flying dragons didn't stand a chance against the stone club. One by one, they were swatted out of the air like flies and crushed into pieces by the giant's feet after they hit the ground. The other giant had went ahead, making it's way through the rubble it had left in it's path. The hurt giant, bleeding profusely from the wound in in his eye, collapsed and fell face first. When he fell, the spear in his eye was jammed into his brain and protruded out the back of his head, killing him instantly.
The battle was not over, reinforcements had arrived. Specially trained dragons, with armor plated bodies, heavy spears and fire breathing capabilities were flying towards the giant goblin that was still standing. They were in attack formation making a circle above the monster's head. All at once, the dragons thrust their spears at the giant. He bent down but could not avoid the spears. He had twenty spears in his back, letting out a blood curdling scream, the giant unleashed his rage. He began to swing his stone club but could not catch the dragons for the were faster than the other guards. The dragons began releasing streams of white hot fire at the giant. It was so hot that his flesh was melting off and soon his entire body became a mass of burnt, red tissue and uncovered bones. The goblin was nearing death. As a last resort, the goblin put down his club and with his massive hands , was able to snatch two dragons from the air. Without hesitation, he bit one in half, armor and all, then he threw the other one to the ground with so much force, that the dragon was paralyzed instantly. Then the giant picked up the stone club and with all the force in his body slammed it into the ground where the helpless dragon lay. When he raised it again, there was nothing left but the bloody impression in the ground where a dragon once was. The battle went on and as more dragons became victims of horror, so did the giant goblin, as his rotting body began to fall apart. With his last breath, the giant goblin said, "Death is only the beginning". And so he collapsed in a heap of flames and burned till there was nothing left but his black ashes. The battle was won, but the war was far from over.
The Dragon Kingdom was in ruins. The dragons were fearful of another attack. The royal family was in shock for they could not believe that after all this time of peace, war has been made once again. In the land of Hell, Satan received word that his attack had failed. Satan said." I shall have control over the Dragon Kingdom no matter what!" Satan was infuriated and so he summoned one of the evil spirits and said to it, "Go and deliver this message to King Cyan","My army shall crush your kingdom on the stroke of midnight tomorrow"'. As the royal family was planning on what to do about this attack, a spirit appeared before them. With no expression on it's face, the spirit told King Cyan what Satan had said and after delivering the message, disappeared into the air. The king had turned a pale green color and fainted. When he awoke, his son said to him, "What should we do about the situation?" The King responded, "We shall evacuate the kingdom at once." The king sent messengers to every home in Dragon Kingdom and all through the night, dragon families were packing up all their belongings and moving out of the kingdom to Mt. Dragonyte, which was miles from the city. They would be safe there until something could be done.
Sure enough, the next night, at the stroke of midnight, Satan's army marched up to the Dragon Kingdom. Giant goblins knocked down all the walls with their stone clubs and the army of Hell spawned monsters walked right in. The city was completely deserted and lifeless. Satan ordered everything to be destroyed and so the carnage began. One by one, the homes were smashed into nothing, fields were set on fire and cattle which had to be left behind were massacred and eaten by the horned beasts. Nothing was left unscaved. Everything that the dragons had worked for over the years was smashed in a matter of hours. After everything else had been destroyed the castle was the only thing standing. Satan walked up in front of it and put up his hand. With a blast of red fire, the whole castle was burnt instantly and absolutely nothing remained but ashes and smoke. The dragons looked upon their city for they could see the fire and smoke from Mt. Dragonyte. All hope had been lost.
When the sun came up and the minions had gone back to Hell, there was much discussion to be made. King Cyan called forth his son and took off his crown. King Cyan, said, "There is only one way to destroy Satan and all that is evil, but only those who are king may be granted this great knowledge". So with this said King Cyan said, "I hereby grant you the title of King Canabis." All was still for a moment and so the royal family went to their private quarters inside a hidden cave. It was a dark cave but at the end was a bright light. As King Canabis approached it, he saw that it was a book made of gold. Cyan told his son to open the book. Canabis opened it up and in plain text it read, "Thee who is brave enough to fight Satan and defeat him successfully can do so only if Satan's magical staff is inserted into his evil heart by a king of pure heart" King Canabis understood now. Cyan said, "We lived in fear for all these years only because I was not pure hearted enough to kill Satan" He then said, "Where I have failed, you will succeed my son" ,"Come now, we must make plans for battle." King Canabis said, "It is time to take back what is rightfully ours."
Slowly, all the remaining warriors were gathered. Preparation had begun. Weapons were sharpened, armor was assembled, and attack strategies were discussed. Cyan's plan was to march into Hell full force and while the dragon warriors distracted Satan's minions, King Canabis would steal his magical staff and stab him in the heart by surprise. Everyone was very tense. They knew that this was their last hope to regain what they have lost, and if they should fail, then god help them. On the brink of dawn, the dragons took flight with King Canabis in the front leading the squadron. Cyan yelled out to him, "Good luck on your journey and god bid you well." They traveled far into the darkest regions of Earth and there in the distance, saw the nightmare that they feared most. History was about to be made as destiny approached.
And so the fight begins. Satan's monsters see the dragons as they approach and are ready to do battle. All at once dragons come down from the heavens upon hell's grounds. On foot, they plow through the barrage of monsters with their sharp spears. bodies arise from their graves as evil spirits call upon them. The carcasses are brought down with quick blows for they are zombie like creatures with no flesh, just rotten, dirty bones. Monsters with horns approach and fling themselves at the dragons. Even with full body armor, the horns rip through them like paper and to the dragon's surprise, their spears cannot pierce their skin for they are protected by Satan's magic. The metal spears break as if they were sticks so the dragon squad takes flight to avoid the heartless beasts. Fromm the air, they breathe their fire onto the horned fiends and they explode in an array of white fire and flying body parts. As this is happening, King Canabis is heading towards Satan's throne in the middle of Hell. He is accompanied by five of his father's most trusted warriors. Their hearts beat faster as they approach the supreme evil. In their way lie many obstacles. Volcanoes spewing lava and the giant goblins in the distance. Suddenly, out of the dark clouds appear ten flying demons with huge claws and long teeth. The warriors ready themselves for a fight. The beasts fly right into the warriors and with quick swipes slice one of the dragons into pieces. King Canabis was enraged and so he swung his spear in a half circle and managed to rip four of the demons in half. The other dragons charged into the remaining beasts and took them out swiftly but not before another one of them got his chest ripped open. Canabis and the three remaining warriors moved on. King Canabis felt a pain in his shoulder, and noticed that the beasts had taken a chunk out of it. He ignored the pain and they headed toward the giant goblins. They watched as the battle on the ground raged on. They could see the trail of bodies behind them and knew that they had to hurry. The giants were busy with the dragons on the ground. One of them suddenly collapses and twenty dragons were immediately upon it, stabbing it over and over until it ceased to live. Another one fell in a heap of flames, crushing three dragon warriors as it did. One remained that they could see. The warriors hid in the clouds until the right opportunity presented itself. One of the giants looked up into the clouds and could do nothing as a spear flew from the heavens and struck it right between the eyes. The beast's bloodshot eyes rolled in the back of it's head and it fell with such force that the ground cracked and broke under the monster's weight, down into a pool of lava it went and the stench of it's burning flesh was indescribable as it was unbearable. All obstacles had been overcome, not it was time for the ultimate battle.
They felt the evil grow stronger as they got closer. They could see Satan sitting on his throne waiting for them to arrive. Canabis said to the warriors, "We shall fight together and we shall win this battle together." They all looked at each other very nervously. At last they set foot on the hot ground. They approached Satan's throne and Canabis said to him, "We shall be victorious for it is our destiny." The three brave warrior charged Satan and all at once struck him with their sharp metal spears in his stomach, chest and head. What they saw they could not believe. Their spears melted into Satan's flesh and not a scratch could be detected. Satan said to them, "Fools,
