Divorce: When it hurts!
A book about surviving divorce when it hurts. Written by a Divorce Survivor who made it through healing and recovery from divorce. Divorce is one of the most horrible experiences you can go through. It hits you like a train going at a high rate of speed. Your knees buckle, you find yourself in shock, feeling the need to curl up in a ball in a dark corner, hoping you can go to sleep and never wake up again. The days are too long and the nights never end; “Silence screams at you”. You scream silently and no one hears you, no one knows that you’re dying inside. At least that’s how you feel, and at some points it’s true. It’s like being trapped on a roller coaster and not being able to get off. The roller coaster goes faster and faster with up and down emotions. It can steal your soul. You’re a prisoner, an unwilling participant. The door is locked and you can’t get out.
Tears will come at unexpected times and for no reason you are aware of. You may dwell on it and sink into depression. It’s important to recognize what is happening to you, as only you can pull yourself out of it. There is a dark hole of depression that you can get trapped in. It’s important not to go there.
