'IT'S NOT JUST HAIR' It's a way of life
WHAT DO I MEAN BY THAT. Well for example, when I reached the ripe old age of thirty nine I dreaded reaching Fourty. I needed some new project, A CHALLENGE. An inspiration, "I KNOW" just like that who hasn't thrown down a library book or a paper back and said in disgust "I could write a better book than that blindfolded ?" but never got on with it. Well, when I get an idea I do, but what to write about ? What did I know ?Sex, romance, adventure no, when you came right down to it all I know about is hair. Hairdressing, hairstyling, creating styles which reflect current trends, inventing new styles inspired by news headlines.
So I began writing every evening when the salon closed, little realising that it would take me a whole year to complete. and yes, it waas parcelled up and posted to a publisher on my 40th birthday. I'll bet you are just dying to know what I wrorte so here, just for you is a taster from chapter 6, "My first salon."
