Western Oklahoma Summer Jam Basketball Camp
Langston University's women's basketball coaching staff, Donnita Drain and Tony Greene, bring the "Western Oklahoma SUMMER JAM Baketball Camp" to the Taloga High School Gymnasium. Drain will also be assisted by former Academic All-American, Mariea' Drain. This camp is for students who will be entering the first through eighth grades in the fall of 2006. The camp is held each day at Taloga High School. The camp dates are Thursday, June 8th - Saturday, June 10th, 2006. Camp will start at 9:00 AM each day and end at 3:00 PM. The camp demonstraton and awards pogram will begin at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 10, 2006. This year's camp cost is $75 dollars per camper which includes the cost of a t-shirt, basketball, water bottle, individual instruction, evaluation cards and the opportunity to win numerous awards and prizes. Coach Drain graduated from Taloga High School in 1986. While playing for the Panthers she was an All-State basketball and softball selection. She finished her basketball career at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK. Drain currently holds the single game scoring record with 48 points at Northwestern and is a member of Northwestern's Hall of Fame. Drain is the current head coach of the Langston University Lady Basketball Team. Coach Drain has ten years of collegiate head coaching experience and has made four trips to the NAIA Division I National Tournament. Drain and the Lady Lions have had seven consecutive winning seasons.
