Texas Professional Golf Tour

Coming in the summer of 2000 is a new tour designed for the up-and-coming golf professional. With tournaments paying a minimum of $60,000 per event & located on beautiful courses throughout the state of Texas, this innovative tour will provide an ideal environment for the competitive amateur as well as lucrative pay-days and an excellent environment for aspiring professionals to fine-tune their competitive skills.

EVENTS

All tournaments 54-holes (3 rounds) except Tour Championship (4 rounds).

Rounds generally on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Local qualifying round on Tuesday (Min. 10 openings per event).

Practice rounds Wednesday-Thursday morning.

Pro-Am's/Special Events on Thursday.

Each event will have a barbecue, dance, etc. for all participants & guests.

PRIZES

Top-40 payout with Winner receiving $10,000.

Pro-Am, Long Drive, Hole-in-One, & Low Round Contests.

$100,000 Tour Championship for top players on Money List (no entry fees for qualifiers)

$10,000 Lone Star Award for Leading Money Winner

COSTS

$900 Qualifying School Fee
--Tentative qualifying locations are: Dallas (Feb), San Antonio (Feb), Abilene (Mar), and Houston (Mar)

$450 Entry Fee per event ($200 for amateurs)

$150 Qualifying Fee for Tuesday local qualifiers
