Summer Slam Basketball Camp and 3 on 3
MISSION STATEMENT:

WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION (NPO). THE SUMMER SLAM STAFF MAIN GOAL IS IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOUTHS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SPORTS. ENHANCING THEIR OVERALL BASKETBALL SKILLS, CHARACTER, SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-RESPECT AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS.

SORRELL "SUMMER" SLAM BASKETBALL CAMP AND 3 on 3 WILL BE HELD JULY 23rd 2005 AT E.S. BISHOP MEMORIAL PARK, IN CORINTH, MS FROM 8-4 P.M. FOR BOYS & GIRLS AGES 7-17. IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER (THE CAMP WILL BE HELD AT THE LOCAL BOYS & GIRLS CLUB. THE CAMP WILL FEATURE PLAYERS FROM DIV. I&II COLLEGE BASKETBALL PROGRAMS WHO WILL PROVIDE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS AND TECHNIQUES DURING EACH EVENT AT THE (1) DAY CAMP. THE FEE TO PARTICIPATE WILL BE ($20.00 PER PLAYER OR $50.00 PER TEAM). FEE INCLUDES A FREE "SUMMER SLAM" T-SHIRT, LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS. Release and Wavier of Liability: I hereby authorize the staff of Sorrell Summer Slam 3 on 3 Basketball Camp to act according to their best judgement in any emergency requiring medical attention and I hereby waive the Camp from any and all liability for any injuries incurred while at the Camp. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that would affect the above camper's participation in the Camp's program. I also understand that SSS3on3 retains the right to use, for publicity and advertising purposes, any photographs of any campers taken at the camp. I also understand camp fees are non-refundable.

RULES:
1. All games will be officiated.
2. All teams will be allowed to substitute players if an alternate is available for their team. No more than 4 players per team. 3 point shots are not valid.
3. There will be 2 time outs per team, and 30 minute limit for each game. Each game goes to 12 points each basket counting as one point each. If a team reaches the 30 minute limit before the twelve points are scored the team with the most point wins and moves to the next round of play. If a team accumulates 4 or more fouls 1 point will be added to the other teams score. Players can not foul out.
