UNCLE DAVE ALVEY - MASTERBASSER
Uncle Dave has been playing professionally since the age 14. This is a LONG time, even in dog years. He's toured both the Midwest and the West coast playing countless lounges, rock venues, dives, bar and grills, concerts, motorcycle rallies, in short....you name it. Versatile , both bass and guitar as well as vocals, backing and lead, he gets a tremendous amount of pleasure entertaining people. He's been known to 'say anything' on the mic simply because "I can...." just to get a reaction from those in the audience.
When he's not playing bass and guitar with Dixie Wrecked, he's eitherworking on his next album project with his other band "The SpitBoys" or playing blues in clubs around the Portland area. He owns and operates "The Clubhouse Studio", a 24 track mostly analog facility where Dixie Wrecked, The SpitBoys and local friends Anything Goes record demos and full length projects.
As for working with the guys in Dixie Wrecked, he says its a pleasure and a privilege to be with guys who are serious about their craft and sound but want to have a lot of fun doing it in the process. The addition of the Hurk was a great move and he looks forward to growing as a rhythm section with World Domination as a goal.
