GETTIN DIRTY WITH THE DAWGS

The Monrovia football team had a decent year but not as good as they planned it would three and half months ago when doubles started. They started off the season on a roll beating top ranked teams such as Providence, Speedway, and Cascade. But on September 22 it seemed like the beginning of a great story suddenly came to an end with the devasting loss of star running back Dustin Criswell. Criswell who was ranked seventh in the state in rushing and fourth in scoring had a great opportunity to lead the state in rushing with the weeker part of the schedule coming up and a great draw in the sectional. Even though the Bulldogs went 5-2 without Criswell they didn't seem to have the intensity they had when he played. The Bulldogs Played Danville in the sectional championship game and lost 55-0. The problem looked like the Bulldogs were missing their leader or should I say their general Dustin Criswell better known as the ghost. What we all wonder we will never know, if the Dogs could've possibly given Danville a run for their money or beat them. But it's easy for the under classmen to say "there's always next year" but there will never be a year like this.
