The Back Wall

This is a view of the back wall.

The theater was built in my garage which has a 16' double overhead door. My original plan was to simply build a wall down the center of the garage. However this would have resulted in my having to remove my overhead door, replace it with a single 8' door and do extensive remodeling to the front of the house. Then I got the idea for the marquee. I lowered the ceiling so that the garage door could be opened into the offset. Although it came about by neccessity , I think that it really sets it off and gives it a unique look. So now I'm actually glad that door was there.

The speaker grill on the right is my JBL subwoofer. The one on the left is actually a hinged door, covered in the same grill cloth, covering the cabinet which holds my Pioneer DTS receiver, line doubler and dvd player.

The surround speakers are Klipsch Theater Quintets

Details on the "Snacks" and "Popcorn" are available on the Accessories page.

I have no idea who those kids are.
