Well, it wasn't wisdom teeth either.. After I threw away $75 for the specialist to tell us what I already knew, that it was something else. He thought she was just grinding her teeth at night. So of course, after paying the $75, Stacy's jaws began to feel better. It was a miracle.. ha!.
Well Stacy still fights with the occasional seizure, but lately she has been having more trouble eating food. It always gets caught in her throat. It doesn't matter if it's soft food or food that is firm, it makes no difference. Because of this, she eats extreemly slow. Who can blame her.
She is very bored at home (no job), but it was good to have her home with Melanee while she was recovering from her neck surgery. Melanee is back to work now, as of this week. Things are back to normal. I worked a ton of overtime the last month or so, which came in handy cause Melanee didn't get her full pay while she was off of work.

Today, Melanee decided to take Stacy to Children's Memorial Hospital. She has pretty much had a continuous headache since Sunday and both her jaws hurt pretty bad. They ended up giving her a CAT Scan.
Praise The Lord, the scan came up fine and they seem to think that the pain in her jaws are in connection with her headaches.
So now we will be off the the head, nose and ear specialist.
Maybe a couple of wisdom teeth? We'll see.
But at least it doesn't seem like it's anything serious..

Well there is some good news. Pain pills seem to be helping some, as she had a good nights sleep. She woke up with little pain this morning. She took a couple of pills as she leaves for work. She will be home about 12:30 this afternoon. She is told not to take anything else, unless she MUST, until I get home.
We will see how she feels then.
Please keep praying for her..

Stacy has now had head pain for the last two days. She says it's not a headache and it's around her forehead. She hurts even with some strong pain medicine. She is also having trouble sleeping with the pain.
Please keep Stacy in your prayers. We pray that this is not something serious..
I will update this page as to when her headache goes away, or is taken to the doctor.

Hi all.
Stacy hasn't choked in almost 3 weeks.. That's a long time for her. She still has some issues with seizures, but that too, is better these past weeks.
Keep her in your prayers...
In a few months, Stacy's website fee is due..I will NOT be re-newing Stacy's website. (www.stacygirardi.com) You will still be able to go to her site by typing her name into google or clicking on a link that I may send to you, but NOT by typing in her website.. It should still work through April.

It's been awhile since I wrote anything here and updated, so here goes.
Stacy's issues are mostly with choking on food and seizures. They seizures may be under control as I write this. Her meds have been changed and upped a little. She was having a lot of them, a few months ago.
On the choking part, fortunately when something gets stuff in her throat, she doesn't usually gag. The food usually just sits in her throat. This is a good thing.
Her throat doesn't open and close properly, we are told.

Melanee and Stacy spent about 8 hours at the ER on Mother's Day. Stacy was in extreem pain by her neck on the right side of her body, above her chest. The doctor's took extensive tests. No results just yet.. I will update when I find out more.

Good News!
Last week, the Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist told us that there was an abnormality in Stacy’s inner right ear. After performing an MRI and fearing the worst, God came through again..
According to Stacy’s doctor, who performed her last 2 surgeries, Stacy’s condition has NOT changed since the last MRI, about a year ago. This is great news cause if there was anything in her inner ear, that sounds like surgery to me..
The bad news is that we are at square one. We are trying to figure out why she has begun to have headaches and dizzy spells..
I’ll keep updating the website as I know more..

Tomorrow morning we meet with the doctor to find out the results of Stacy's MRI.. We are hoping for good news, of course. Nothing would be better than the doctors telling us that there is no tumor, which is my greatest fear.
We have some mixed emotions, however. We want them to find the reason for her problems on one hand, but want them to find nothing wrong, on the other hand. We need to just leave this in God's hands.. but it is tough sometimes..

Last week, at school, Stacy had to taken from her school room in a wheel chair. Her teacher said it was her worst episode, by far, that they have seen her have.
We need your prayers for Stacy, especially this weekend. She needs to have an MRI of my head this Saturday, May 2nd. (This will include her inner ears) She has been really dizzy for the last couple months now, and after going to the Emergency Room, her doctor sent her to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. He did a test that checked her ears. He was looking to see if she has a thing called "Meniere's disease."
When the results from this test came back, We were told that he sees an abnormality in her right ear. He wants her to have the MRI to make sure there is not another tumor or scar tissue resting on a nerve in her ear.
Over the last few days, not only has she been dizzy, but the right side of her head has started to hurt her on a daily basis and has not let up.
Please pray about this, because Stacy does not always tell us when something is bothering her, unless we ask, and she is very hard to read. We feel this is because she is "used to it" and does not always know what "is normal" and "not normal."
God can change a real bad thing into something that can be treated. Please keep her in your prayers...

Well, we are caught up on finances thanks to the Fund Raiser. I think we will be okay now if things don't change. With Melanee's new job, she makes a little more money and gets paid on the opposite week that I get paid.. That is a blessing and makes everything much better.
Now about Stacy...
She has been doing pretty good lately. She still has food get caught in her throat about 1 out of every 6 meals or so. She tilts her head back when that happens. That seems to help some. She still bowls on Saturdays with her Special Education friends, and also bowls while Janessa bowls. So she bowls about 6 or 7 games every Saturday morning. Since I work at the bowling alley, it makes it affordable for our family to bowl.. She is getting much more excercise since the kids got a "WII" for Christmas too.
