CITY CREST OF KARO <> KARTUM
The City Crest featured above, is that of Karo-Kartum; captial city of the Nile-Afran Federation. Before the unification; the Nile Empire, and the Kingdoms of Afran were at war with each other; as well as involved in seperate internal civil wars.
Karo was formerly the capital city of the Nile Empire; and Kartum was the former capital city of the Kingdoms of Afran. The two former capitals sat on opposite banks of the Black River delta. The Black River empties into the Gulf of Shanza, and is the natural boundary between the then, two seperate nations.
Time eventually took it's toll; and military leaders on both sides of the battlefield acted in a double-coup d'e tat. This lead to the downfall of both governments; and then the unification of the two nations under a military junta.
The former sister-city capitals unifided as the central capital city of the newly established nation of the Nile-Afran Federation.
The central capital cities of Karo-Kartum are commonly referred to only as, Karo.
