Rutherford County Firefighters Memorial
The Rutherford County Firefighters Honor Guard have been planning for sometime now, for a Firefighters Memorial.This Memorial will be placed on the courthouse lawn in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. On October 3rd, 2004 at 3p.m.
Those named on the Memorial will be Firefighters who have lost their life in the line of duty, those who pass while an active member of the department, and those who have, upon their death, given 20 years or more to the fire service reguardless of their duty status.
The Honor Guard has had several fund raisers in efforts to defray the cost of the memorial. However your help is still in need, if you can contribute please send to The Rutherford County Firefighters Honor Gurad c/o Deputy Commander Byron Callahan
