CHIEF MARSHAL MIKE'S EDITORIAL

Howdy Partners, some of you may know that I recently went to the "Lovely Dodge City", the phrase "get the h*ll out o' Dodge" very much applies. I did however find out some good information and will be adding it to this site. I did encounter one great quote that I hope will sum up the Dead West mind set. Its from the Hays Sentinel, "Dodge is the Deadwood of Kansas; her incorporate limits are the rendevous of all the unemployed scallawagism in seven States; her principal business is polygamy without the sanction of religion; her code of morals is the honor of theives, and decency she knows not".
Well folks I have to let you know that we spent most of this week getting the kinks worked out, the first 3 rounds we have should provide lots of fun. There is a chance you will get the writer of the round to run it for you at Gen Con. The three rounds are "Disturbing the Peace" by Sean K. the second a fine round by Lee Walker called "Principles of Democracy" that one has some strangeness in it. The third is my very own round, don't be scart cause the name its called "Death from Below".

NOTES FROM GEN CON
First off I would like to take this time to say thanks from me and the staff for all of you whom stopped by and chatted with us or inquired at Gen Con. I would also like to give a special thanks to all of you whom played a round or three with us at the Con. We did well all things considered and I think it helped us showing the RPGA that there is a following out there for the game we love. I enjoyed the tables I ran and the ones I just observed, I did not hear a complaint one I say thank you guys for that. We wanted it to be fun for the players and I believe it was. I had much time to ponder the upcoming future driving back from Wisconsin to Oklahoma City and I have some big plans for the campaign in the future. I would love to hear from you guys that played at Gen Con feel free to drop me an e-mail, I do say guys by the way I know there are some gals out there whom play Deadlands and your presence was missed, maybe next time.

LATEST UPDATE
I have to say from the amount of interest I continue to get from all of you that I think we are gonna have a good little campaign setting here. Things still are planned for formal RPGA kick off in October. I have just play tested the fourth round we have over the holiday weekend I have to say Mr. Lee Walker has written yet another gem for our playing. It will be a hoot when you get to play it. It was tough for our group of course their was only three of us. I will post again hopefully in the next week or two when we find out more info.
