Davizm 2005:an Art Odessey

I needed a couple of pages to finish what I started on my other pages so Here it is.
I have been busy of late trying to research webstreaming LIVE to the internet in hopes I can put together an Arts News Network. I have a grant from United Arts of Central Florida that will help me create more bronzes and update my portfolio. I have shown a few places in the Central Florida area and hope to get a larger travel and operational grants to take my shows on the road to various locations where I have received invitations to show elsewhere. Webstreaming would help me get more attention and show how I create my work.
My first step is now complete with the completion of my grant report to the United Arts of Central Florida to create a new body of work and to document the new pieces for inclusion in my first professionally produced brochure specifically to better promote myself. I will include a few of these new pieces here or at FloridaArtistsRegistry.com ASAP.
I am working now on the second step- of finding more prestigious grants to be able to form an Arts News Network which I will expand upon better later in this text. I have been invited back again to the Maitland Art Center's pARTicipation event so look for that event in the link below for more information on that event.
I am still invited to Italy by a group of local artists and wanted to show throughout Italy and Europe but I need $2ooo... so Im asking for help from the public to give me suggestions on special travel grants for artists and if there are not any artists travel grants help me find out why.
I have the page on the FloridaArtistsRegistry.com (see link below) .I will be updating my site here to include a chatroom of my own, so people can interact with me at preset times. But for now I am hoping to concentrate on finishing up a few huge projects.
I am also seeking sponsors for many exciting and new styrofoam pieces waiting to be cast. I have over 150 cast and finished pieces and have maybe close to a thousand styrofoam carvings or more ready to be cast but I need help in financing the pours. I also am doing a Styrofoam carving workshop with David Cumbie at Crealde School of Art on August 18 & 19,2007. Go to Crealde.org for details on that workshop and the other great offerings from Crealde's creative staff.
Please email me if you are interested in seeing more as I shall be expanding my collection of styrofoam carvings daily.I have a picture of me talking to students on one of the many daily Orange County School System's field trips to Crealde's campus. Find more info at http://www.Crealde.org . I can accept commissions so if you have ideas for me to carve in styrofoam please let me know..On average,I carve maybe two personal carvings per day so I have a huge selection to choose from .I will cast in the metal of choice either bronze (more expensive but the metal of investors choice or less expensive aluminum).
I also am trying to find a way to cheaply do webstreaming from my website LIVE. If you know how i can set up a webbroadcast or have an old but quality webcam setup and want to donate the airtime and webspace Im willing to put your link in my website.I have an idea to have cameras record the processes i go through to create my work and even get instant input from you the consumer . It's a concept i thought of while playing around with my art and my webcam.I envision an Arts News Network that would stream live reports to the internet from the artists themselves. It is only an idea as of this writing but someday soon I hope it to become a reality. Please bookmark this page so you can find it again to return as I will attempt to be continuosly updating my webpresence. You can email me either at davizm@juno.com or my online address at davizm@hotmail.com I will be at Crealde's always exciting ArtCamp this year so sgn up quickly as the space will be limited. Thank you for dropping by,dave
