Will We Remain Under God?
WILL WE REMAIN UNDER GOD?

The Pledge is under attack by enemies of the Lord,
It must not include “God” or any other religious word,
Some schools do not say “under God” anymore,
The Ten Commandments and prayer have been thrown out the door,
What is going on with our society, culture and nation?
Perhaps we need to stop and make a close examination,
Are we really still “under God” with all that’s taking place?
Are we still a “Christian nation” when we do not seek His face?
While many Christians run away in fear and confusion,
The devil has his way teaching our kids evolution,
As the Church withdraws and hibernates within its shell,
Our nation is overrun with blasphemy from the hosts of hell,
We think nothing of taking the Lord’s name in vain,
In this way He’s blasphemed, yet Christians seldom complain,
The way many Americans live you’d think God was dead,
Our money says “In God We Trust,” yet we serve mammon instead,
Where is the fear of God in our country today?
Do we not realize that Jesus Christ is on His way?
He will judge those so callous who murder the unborn,
God grieves for each fetus that from the womb is torn,
Gay couples are getting married as we extend to them the right,
It seems there is no such thing today as black and white,
We can’t say much about it or the gays in court may sue,
But it’s time for the timid Church to stand against the ACLU,
It’s true that the civil liberties of each Christian are at stake,
Slumbering souls must now arise, sleepy Christians now awake!
If the claim in our pledge is to be authentic, true and sound,
Then we must take a stand for what is right and not let sin abound,
Other religions can talk of their gods and not be out of line,
But I can get in trouble if I speak openly of mine,
And all we hear about is separation of Church and State,
Forgetting it was the blessings of God that have made America great,
This patriotic heart of mine is grieved by what’s happening here,
Our greatest enemies live within as they attack what I hold dear,
Despite it all I’m glad to see that Old Glory still waves free,
Our pledge to the flag says “under God” and that’s the way it should be.
