Remember, you will need a car seat to take your baby home from the hospital if you have a vehicle.
The safest way for your newborn to travel is in a rear facing car seat. Four things you might want to keep in mind when looking for these items include these questions;
Some people will just use their car seats as a handy way of carrying their newborn from one place to another while disturbing their baby as little as possible. Some of the manufacturers also offer what is called a travel system which is a stroller and car seat combined in one package. Then, we have to ask ourselves,do I want a specific brand? Some would prefer a specific brand because it is what their parents had or because their good friend has one and they like the features. The number of youngchildren you have may affect the choice of stroller you may need such as, a double or triple stroller.
These are many of the things one might need to think about before purchasing a stroller and/or car seat. Why do you need to keep these things in mind when looking for a stroller and/or car seat? Well, your babies comfort and safety along with your happiness maydepend on some of these answers. Some of these car seats will attach to a stroller allowing your baby to stay asleep when transferring from car to stroller or just heading out for astroll.
1. This willllow you to purchase separate bases for each vehicle if you prefer. That way, ifou like things to match your stroller and car seat designs and colors will already match without having to hunt around or find some that are close to matching but, not quite. What designs or colors do I want?
3. Now you may ask yourself, what designs or colors do I want? Many of the manufacturers have an absolutely huge selection of colors and patterns to choose from for the coverings to be installed on these strollers and car seats. What am I going to be using my stroller and/or car seat for?
Some car seats or bases have an indicator on them to help you place your child at the optimal position to keep him/her the safest. You will want to make sure your babies body position is correct to keep from constrictng his or her airway when your baby is placed in the seat. There are many brands out there including but not limited to: Cosco, Eddie Bauer, Combi, Chicco, Britax, Safety 1st, Graco, Peg Prego, EvenFlo and Recaro.
These are things we tend to think of after making our purchase. If you travel a lot and have more than one vehicle you mightconsider looking for a seat that has a separate base that can be installed in your car separate from the car seat. These could include cup holders, storage pockets or bins, large wheelsfor ease of travel on rough terrain, how far does the seat recline, is it convertible, does it have sun shades, how easy is i to fold, will it fit in my trunk?
Hopefully, this article will help alleviate some of the second guessing that occurs when thinking about buying the correct items for our newborn.Do I want a specific brand?
One more question to ask ourselves is, what specific features am I looking for? Some of these features might be for the parents and some for the baby.
