Organic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides


BEE LURE (HONEYBEES ATTRACTANT): This unique formulation is a honeybee attractant. This attracts honeybees to the sprayed flowers and increases the pollination. This can be used on all bee-pollinated crops viz. Cardamom, Cotton, Pears, Plums, Apples, Grapes, Coffee, Watermelon, etc. This works by increasing the bee traffic and thus pollinating more flowers and more fruits and harvest. The bees from apiaries as well as the wild visit the plantations. The activity is high during early morning and activity tapers down to normal in about 6 to 7 days. During a flowering season BEE LURE can be sprayed 8 to 10 times at suitable intervals during rain free period. BEE LURE is made from only natural products and does not contain any toxic chemicals. It is safe to use on all kinds of food crops. It does not leave any undesirable residues. Rate of application is 50 ml per 200 liter of water at repeated intervals during flowering season.

BIO-FERTILIZERS

1. Azospirillum: This is Nitrogen fixing bacterium. When Azospirillum is added to the soil it multiplies in millions. Azospirillum absorbs nitrogen from the atmosphere and has a tendency to fix itself in the root zone. When this is done in adequate quantities enough nitrogen is added to the soil which enriches the soil and promotes healthy plant growth. Application rate is 25 kg per hectare.

2. Phosphobacterium: It is customary to apply Phosphorous as a fertilizer in plantations. However about 50 percent of this fertilizer is made available to the plant population and rest is fixed / locked up in the soil. Phosphobacterium which when added to the soil multiplies in billions and they secrete enzymes in the soil. This fixed phosphorous from the fertilizer is made soluble by the enzymes produced by Phosphobacterium thus transforming the lost phosphorous to available form. Use of Phosphobacterium allows the planters to cut 50 percent of the phosphorous fertilizer purchase. Application rate is 25 kg per hectare.

3. VAM – Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal: It is a fungi which forms a symbiotic association with most economically important crop plants. This fungi play a vital role in crop improvement in the following ways: (1) enhances uptake of phosphorous, zinc, sulphur and water (2) helps to retain more water in the root region (3) promotes more uniform crop, increases growth and yield (4) enhances resistance to root diseases and helps drought stress plants (5) improves strength of transplant shock (6) reduces stunting in fumigated soils. Application rate is 25 kg per hectare.

4. Pseudo-ROM (Pseudomonas Fluorescens): This improves the soil fertility by: (1) Fixing the atmospheric nitrogen non-symbiotically (2) Dissolving inorganic phosphorous especially Tri Calcium Phosphates (3) Producing Indole Acetic Acids. Pseudomonas when applied to the soil moves to the Rhizosphere (root zone) region and multiplies. They produce siderosphores which chelate with iron and make it difficult for pathogenic organisms to proliferate by interfering with the germination of fungal spores. Pseudomonas secrete an enzyme which is capable of dissolving the cell walls of fungal pathogens, hence acts as a bio-fungicide when used as a spray. Pseudomonades produce growth factors such as IAA, which contribute to the vigorous growth of the crop. Application rate is 5 kg per hectare.

BIO-FUNGICIDES

Bio-fungicides are fungal or bacterial formulations used for the control of different diseases in crops.

1. Pseudo-ROM (Pseudomonas Fluorescens): Apart from enhancing soil fertility this can be used as a prophylactic measure against all leaf diseases in all crops. Its description is provided above (in bio-fertilizers section). Its rate of application is 5 kg per hectare.

2. Trichoderma: Trichoderma Viridae is a fungal antagonist. This is used for the control of all soil borne fungal diseases like root rot, damping off, wilt of different crops like tomato, tobacco, pepper, potato and other crops. This also effectively controls red rot in sugarcane. Trichoderma can be used as soil application, seed treatment or as seedling dip.

3. Bio Blight: This is the prophylactic treatment for Blister Blight disease. This product is a spore combination of antagonistic organism that secretes enzymes and toxins, which does not allow the Blister Blight organisms to establish on plants. Application rate is 5 kg per hectare.

3. Paecilomyces: It is a nematophagus fungus found in the soil. This fungus, when added to the soil in the spore form multiplies in billions and infects the nematodes found in the soil. By adding this nematophagus fungus in adequate quantities to the soil all nematodes in the soil can be controlled effectively. The nematode infection in different crops makes lot of holes in the root system thus promotes easy entry for soil borne pathogens. This has been well proved in potato and pepper wilt disease syndrome. In tomato, eggplant, cauliflower, cabbage and commercial crops like banana, crossandra, anthuriums and roses control of nematodes with this fungus has become a must to control soil borne diseases.

4. Try-Pae Mix: It is a combination of Trichoderma Viridae & Paecilomyces. This combination product is made to control many soil-borne diseases in which the nematodes play an active role in damaging the root system. Try-Pae Mix when added to soil suppresses the soil borne disease causing organisms like fusarium, phytophthora, rhizoctonia and other fungi. This is also a highly celluloytic enzyme secreting fungus which can decompose any organic matter in the soil in a very fast manner. This product is very effective in controlling root rot, tomato wilt, club rot of cabbage, nematode damage in potato and other soil borne diseases in all crops.

BIO-PESTICIDES

Bio-pesticides are formulation of fungal or bacterial origin, which are used to control pests of different crops.

1. Beauveria Bassiana: This can used to control hard-bodied insects and pests like stem borer, berry borer, etc. The success of Beauveria Bassiana depends on favorable environmental factors like high humidity (above 80%) and optimal temperature (25 to 30 deg. C).

2. Verticillium WP: This is fungus entomophagus against sucking insects pests like mites, mealy bugs, white flies, aphids, scales, etc. Wettable powder formulations of these fungal spores are sprayed to control different crop pests. After spraying on the plant surface the spores germinate and produce mycelium that penetrates the body of the insects/mites where the fungus multiplies and destroys the tissues of the insects. The infected insects get killed in about 5 to 7 days. Even after death of these target insects the fungus multiplies on the infected dead insects paving the way for establishment of the fungus in the field and preventing further attacks. Its application rate is 3 kg per hectare.

PLANT GROWTH PROMOTER

1. Romzyme: Romzyme is a total biological plant growth promoter that increases the photosynthetic activity of the crop resulting in better growth and increased yield. It is manufactured by a unique process of multi stage fermentation with bacterial cultures known for secreting growth promoting substances during the process. The product is a combination of microbial metabolites such as proteins, protein hydrolyses, amino acids, organic acids, vitamins and essential growth promoting harmones. Since Romzyme is obtained from natural fermentation process this leaves no harmful residue in the soil, plant or environment. Romzyme helps the plant better photosynthetic activity, which results in better nutrient absorption, thereby increased yield and better resistance to pests and diseases. Romzyme helps in flower initiation and better fruit setting. Romzyme is suitable for range of crops like rice, sugarcane, groundnut, cotton, turmeric, grapes, apple, almonds, walnuts, coffee, tea, rubber, cardamom, vanilla, medicinal plants and vegetable crops like cabbage, cauliflower, potato, carrot, etc. Its application rate is 500 ml per hectare.

LIQUID SEAWEED EXTRACT

Seaweed extracts are excellent bio-fertilizer and contains major nutrients e.g. Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, Zinc, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Boron, Copper, etc. in readily available chelated form. Our seaweed extracts also contains growth promoters e.g. auxin, gibberlin and cytokinins. Balanced nutrient composition of seaweed extracts promotes general health of crop and enhances defense mechanisms of plants against invading disease, pests and natural imbalances e.g. draught & frost. Application rate: 250 ml per 200 liter of water.

ORGANIC HERBICIDE

CORN GLUTEN - PRE-EMERGENCE HERBICIDE: The discovery of Corn Gluten Meal (CGM) as a pre-emergence herbicide happened accidentally by Dr. Nick Christians, professor of Iowa State University. We provide powdered pure CGM in Jute/HDPE sacks. Seedling shoots emerge normally, but the development of the emerging root is inhibited. What ingredients of CGM are responsible for herbicidal activity is not known yet. After a period of water stress, the seedlings wilt and die because they do not have an adequate root system. Timing for its application is important and has to be made before the weeds germinate. The CGM also contains nitrogen (more or less 10:0:0) in slow release form and has fertilizing effect along with herbicidal effect. Organic certified garden might use it as weed control and nitrogen supplement. An application rate of 200 gram CGM per square meter is ideal. In terms of hectare the rate will arrive at 2000 kg per hectare. CGM is natural and safe. It does not harm predators, soil organisms and does not contaminate water. Results are evident from 3 weeks onward from the time of application. If excessive rain occurs just after the application then reapplication may be needed. It should be noted that CGM works on seeds and not established plants. CGM persists in the topsoil and is not readily leached. It has been empirically observed that its herbicidal activity is effective for period of 5 to 6 weeks but its nitrogen is available for more periods in topsoil. Hence two rounds of application per year can render good control over weeds and additionally will increase the nutrient content in soil. Applications of other nutrients like potassium, phosphorous, etc. are recommended on basis of soil-test.

GARLIC BARRIER
(Pure Garlic Juice)

Discourage insect pests from feeding on your leaves applied with Garlic Barrier. Just apply Garlic Barrier before pests appear and watch them make a refusal when they smell that garlic. But you won't smell it! Garlic Barrier is odorless after the first few minutes of application. Active ingredient of garlic is Allyl Disulphide in natural form hence upon application you will see high mortality of adult and nymph Red Spider Mite and Blister Blight disease. Our Garlic Barrier is a very cost-effective source to combat Red Spiders and Blister Blight either used alone or in combination of synthetic pesticides. Garlic Barrier also discourages ants, aphids, grasshoppers, leafrollers, leaf loopers, thrips, spiders, whitefly, flies, mosquitoes and other insects to come in vicinity of your plants. It is safe to use and leaves no residual taste on final produce. It is environmentally safe, biodegradable, and economical. You need to apply Garlic Barrier during rain free period. Availability: Available in 20 liter HDPE drum. General Application Rate: 500 ml per 200 liter of water for one acre.

DEFYNT CONCENTRATE
(Stress tolerance and yield enhancer)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: It activates plants defense system. It improves plants physiological functions, meet the specific demands of crops with different economic organs, induce the translocation of photosynthetic products to specific organs, increase photosynthetic efficiency, promote enzyme activity, provide necessary co-factors for metabolism, enhance nitrogen fixation efficiency and stimulates root development.

CHANGES OBSERVED AFTER APPLICATION OF DEFYNT: Within 8 hours after Defynt is sprayed on the plants, crops start to systematically build their defense system. Organs that have been infected with disease (including bacterial, fungal, viral and physiological), but still possess the potential for recovery, will start to heal. Unhealthy leaves will begin to heal, turning brighter and greener, 7-10 days after application.

Once the crops self-defense is constructed, plants begin to selectively screen their vital organs. Those that have been infected and are not capable of recovery for example leaves that have been attacked by disease or insects and are unable to produce nutrients will rapidly begin to yellow and fall from the plant. This usually happens within the first 7 days following the application of Defynt Concentrate. Yellowing allows nutrients to be withdrawn from the damaged leaves and transported to healthier organs of the plants.

Within 14 days of application of Defynt newly developing buds grow stronger and more vigorously. Leaves also become thinner and greener. Visible characteristic will be reduced incidence of fungal infections, increased plant vigor and enhanced yield.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

- STRESS TOLERANCE: The cell membrane system is the site most likely to be damaged under stress conditions. Defynt can increase the structural stability and function of the membrane system, activate endogenous defense responses of plants, promote crops to utilize their own vitality potentials and increase resistance to stress factors such as drought, flooding and salinity.

- DISEASE RESISTANCE: The fundamental component of Defynt can make crops healthy and strong while systematically increasing disease (blight, rot, etc.) resistance. Defynt can also increase the crops ability to drive off insect pests and to some extent nematodes.

- YIELD INCREASE: Defynt regulates crops to establish optimal plant style and population, promote the products of photosynthesis to translocate to economic organs and increase the crop yield.

- HIGH QUALITY: Experimental results demonstrated that Defynt could increase the harvest quality.

- DECREASES THE APPLICATION DOSAGES OF PESTICIDES: Since Defynt potentates the resistance of crops to abiotic stress and disease and improves their ability to drive off insects the amount of pesticides needed may be greatly decreased. In addition, environmental pollution and pesticide residues due to pesticide applications can be reduced.
