Dinosaur follows the story of an Iguanodon named Aladar (D.B Sweeney). Having been raised by a group of Lemas, Aladar has a unique perspective on reptile life. Unfortunately for the dinosaurs, a collossal meteor shower renders the earth unlivable. As the surviving dinosaurs travel to safer land, Aladar finds himself at odds with Kron, the group's leader. He decides to stop and help the slower dinosaurs that can't keep up with the rest. As if the situation wasn't bad enough, they are being pursued by scavengers ready to pick off the weak from the group.
Dinosaur is Disney's most ambitious (and expensive) project to date. It was more then 4 years in the making and combined the talents of hundreds of animators.Dinosaur is both visually stunning and creative. The animation is superb and the film thankfully isn't bogged down with loads of songs like other Disney offerings.
Children and adults alike should be entertained by the lifelike recreation of the giant lizards. The only complaints are that the ending is to predictable and young childen can get scared at certain scenes. Surely that shouldn't happen in a kid's film?
To conclude, Dinosaur is a refreshing alternative to most animated films and is definately worth a watch.Cyber Rating: 3 out of 5
