This sequel is set a year after the Blair Witch Project was released. It follows five fans of the film (played by unknown actors) that head out to the infamous Burkitsville woods. In a quest to find out the validity of the movie footage, the group perform their own hunt for the Blair Witch. Before too long, predictably strange things start to occur. Having unexplainedly lost 5 hours of time, the group try to piece together what was going on.
The film has an entirely different style to the first film. Fans who thought the first film lacked gore will not be disappointed with this blood thirsty sequel.
Unfortunately, what seemed like a good premise, falls flat on it's face soon after the opening credits. Book Of Shadows fails to live up to it's successful predecessor. It relies on un-effective violence, as opposed to the claustrophobic realism that made the first film a box office hit.
Blair Witch 2 is disappointingly muddled and scare-free horror film. The acting is more wooden then the trees! The only shock you'll recieve from watching this film is that it didn't go straight to video. Avoid!
Cyber Rating: 1 out of 5
