CWMBRAN MODELLING SOCIETY
Cwmbran Modelling Society was set up over 30 years ago to encourage model making in all forms ,but due to events overtaking us we now only build and sail model boats of all types.
As a club we meet every Sunday Morning from 10Am. to 1Pm. at The Boating Lake Llanyravon Cwmbran South Wales, and at Tredegar Park Lake Newport South Wales on Wednesday Afternoon from 2Pm. and on the second Monday in every month at the Rafa Club Cwmbran,from 8Pm to 10Pm.
We also take an active part in other club shows as well as supporting local events, i.e. Carnival Aqua Night, the Carnival itself, and the local Canal Trust.
Each year the club holds an Open Day, when we invite other clubs from around the area to come and join us, at the Boating Lake Cwmbran, from 10Am until 5Pm. This year it will be on Sunday 11Th. September 2005 when we hope to have modellers from Cardiff, Gloucester,Shepton Mallet,Haverford West,Islwyn and a number of private boat owners.
At the time of preparing this WEB PAGE the number of members in the club is 47. Any person showing an intrest in building a model boat can contact the e-mail address, or attend the Boating Lake Cwmbran on a Sunday Morning, Tredegar Park on a Wednesday Afternoon or the Rafa Club Cwmbran on the second Monday in the month.
The Club held its AGM on Monday February 14Th.2005 at 7-30Pm. at the Rafa Club Cwmbran. All members were invited to attend to raise any points to assist in the running of the club.
