Sunday, APRIL 19 - The Creation Association of Puget Sound (CAPS) will have a meeting coming up this Sunday afternoon at the Bellevue Church of Christ. It begins at 3:00, & at 3:30 there will be a DVD presented called "God of Wonders, part 2." The topics covered are seeds, flowering plants, sea creatures, hummingbirds, other birds, butterflies, mankind, God of Justice, God of Love. This film uses examples from nature to show God's design. Friday & Saturday, APRIL 24-25 - The Creation Association of British Columbia (CSABC) will host Jobe Martin, who has spent the past 20 years studying the topic of Biblical Creationism vs. Evolution (& was himself a dedicated evolutionist at one time). Dr. Martin is the author of "The Evolution of a Creationist" & maker of 3 DVDs entitled "Incredible Creatures the Defy Evolution." He will be speaking at the following locations:

[Also] Friday & Saturday, APRIL 24-25 - Mike Riddle, who is currently with Answers in Genesis (AiG), will be giving 4 talks on the subject of Creation at the Christian Heritage Family Discipleship & Homeschooling Conference. Saturday, MAY 2 (only) - Calvary Chapel of Kennewick in South-Central Washington will be hosting another X-Convention/Creation Conference. Calvary Chapel is located at 10611 W. The North Sound Creation Friends website is dedicated to Biblical Creationism. We believe that the Genesis account is to be taken literally, as written, & that other opinions are just that - man's fallible opinions. We define Biblical Creationism as the belief that God created the universe, miraculously, out of nothing, in six literal days, about six thousand years ago.
Many in the church have bowed to the pressure of the world, allowing such evolutionized ideas as death before sin & millions of years to creep in. We have a deep concern for the church today because this compromise (which seems so small) has actually undermined Biblical truth. After all, if the Genesis account of creation cannot be trusted, what about the other miracles in the Bible? What about the Resurrection itself? Compromise is a dangerous weapon of our enemy, Satan.
We have a special concern for Christian youth. We might expect evolutionized ideas to be found in large universities, but they have invaded even our Christian colleges. There are VERY few Christian colleges that still teach a literal 6-day creation without apology. This seems to surprise people. We are not suggesting that students scrap their plans to attend the college of their choice, but to be aware that that compromise will eventually slither out of the science classroom into other classrooms, including the theology classroom. Compromise has caused the demise of once-solid Christian schools in the past. How many more will fall before we catch on?
We must hold the line on Biblical authority. After all, it is either God's Word or it is not.
