MOST PEOPLE.......can seldom accept the simplest and most obvious truth if it obliges them to admit the falsity of conclusions - which they have woven thread by thread into the fabric of their lives.
By definition.......A mystical experience must fly in the face of accepted reality. It transcends the mundane universe in a way that is completely unique. In addition, the symbols used must be familiar to the majority. And, it will be perfect - a single flaw would not be acceptable.
As an ordinary man - without illusions, and having been humbled by the nature of experience; I share with you that which has come to mind.
IN A DREAM: "I'm in a classroom where a teacher, (a woman) is talking about astronomy. The scene changes to a field, where two bears are romping, and a duck is flying overhead."
The bears represent the constellations "URSA MAJOR" and "URSA MINOR." The big and little dipper are part of these constellations. The symbolism of the duck can be found in the dictionary. One meaning for "dipper" is: "any of various diving birds." Also, D.U.C.K., is an anagram for: "DO YOU SEE "K." The outer star of the bowl of the little dipper is called: "KOCHAB," pronounced KO-KAB. Its distance is 83 light years, (488 trillion miles.)
Anyone who has studied depth psychology, knows that the symbol of the bird is a form of transcendence. It represents the peculiar nature of "Intuition," where the SOURCE, as the whole, conveys knowledge of events-distant in space and time...
According to Professor Carl Sagan, current estimates of a supernova, (exploding star) within 36 light years of earth, would be disastrous to many life forms.......
Converting the dream symbols into number, they appear as: 4-6-32-15-31-27.
You might surmise that they look like lottery numbers, and you are correct. They relate directly to the winning numbers drawn in the New York Cash "40" Lottery of October 10th, 1988. There are seven messages in these numbers; one need not be a genius to figure them out.
What we have forgotten in our mad dash of "FOLLY," is the fact that "374" - GOD, speaks mainly through dreams and visions, and in diverse manners.
When a star exhausts its fuel, it will expand fifty or more times. If it is at least two solar masses, it could explode. The light from such an explosion would exceed a billion suns...How will we know thy coming?..."There will be signs and wonders!"...Why are we so almighty sure of ourselves, that we ignore the significant contents and processes of the unconscious?...
A respected psychologist said: "For years I have been astonished at numerous colleagues who firmly believe that psychic or "mystical" events cannot possibly occur, and therefore, do not occur; hence anyone who reports an experience that may be psychic, must be the victim of a neurotic fantasy, or even a psychotic delusion...Disregarding the great professional names of Freud, Jung, James, Murphy, etc., those individuals insist that their world-view is not only correct, but is the only view to be considered sane."
The NASA SETI project has the capability to detect the presence of extraterrestrial life by means of their radio signals. But, no instrument devised by man has ever been able to peer beyond the veil of time...
For the past fifty-six months I've done everything possible to get your attention. All my efforts have been in vain; except for the reply from the researchers at Princeton University. The last line is especially appropriate...

Among the many mathematical primary intuitions, or 'a priori ideas,' the "natural numbers" seem psychologically the most interesting. Not only do they serve our conscious everyday measuring and counting operations; they have for centuries been the only existing means for "reading" the meaning of such ancient forms of divination as astrology, numerology, geomancy, etc.- all of which are based on arithmetical computation and all of which have been investigated by Dr. Carl Jung in terms of his theory of synchronicity. Furthermore, the natural numbers - viewed from a psychological angle - must certainly be archetypal representations, for we are forced to think about them in certain definite ways. Nobody, for instance, can deny that 2 is the only existing even primary number, even if they have never thought about it consciously before. In other words - arithmetic; 'the theory of numbers' is the ruling factor within the human mind, as it is in the universe.

Dear Mr. De Laurence:
Thank you for sharing the description of your "meaningful coincidence" with us. It is an EXCELLENT example of connectedness between the subjective and objective domains of human experience, mediated by the symbolic language of numbers. In a very real sense, as was recognized by Pythagoras and his successors, this symbolism lies at the root of all science, including even the contemporary, whereby the human mind seeks to interpret in some tangible and communicative mode the intuitive insights gained from observing nature. The error lies in our FORGETFULNESS of the origin of these symbols.
