I am the wife of an permenantly disabled injured worker. Unfortuneately, in the last month I, too, have become an injured worker, although it is with the hopes of only being temporarily. Listed below are links, one in particular that I think will help in the fight of the unjust battle we are forced to fight due to injury. Publicity for our cause is a good thing. There are a couple of things I would like you to remember as an injured worker whether you decide to use my page or not. The first thing is most of those that are injured workers do not need to be afraid of publicity. You have nothing to hide and everything to gain for you and the rest of us. Heed my words and do not be afraid to tell your stories. The comp insurance companies need to be knocked down a few pegs and it is up to people like us to do it. Be honest, be truthful, be deligent, and most of all, be courageous. We are all in this together! Email me with your story or if you like to write like I do, send a poem of your own and I will put it on my page for others to see, so they can understand, hopefully how the injured worker feels. Do this so that even if it is only to let some of your frustrations out and to make yourself feel better. The other thing is to PPPLLLEEEEAAASSEEEEEEE make sure you register to vote. Not only is it the American way, it is the ONLY way to provide "SOME" measure of protection for yourself, as an injured worker. Our politicians do not have to listen to unregistered voters. What is in it for them? Nothing! However, if you are registered and you vote, you let them know that you helped put them in office and could vote the other way next time. So....please register to vote if you haven't, then contact your Senators, Representatives, and anybody else you can think of who might help our cause. We are the only ones who can protect ourselves and the next injured worker!!!!!

I can only hope and pray that after reading my words, you will come to the conclusion that our Workmen's Compensation system is in sad shape and needs to be reconstructed in such a manner that it benefits the injured worker more. SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU..........

Somewhere, someone is watching,
All the things you do.
'Cause if you're an injured worker....
They want the "goods" on YOU!

It doesn't matter to them,
If the injury and the pain are real...
They pry, they look, they twist the truth,
No matter how you feel!

If matters even less to them,
If the injury was their fault.
They try to make "you" feel guilty
To bring the case to a halt.

And when you complain about the pain....
They give you such strange, odd looks,
Because they want this over....
To get you off their 'BOOKS".

They spend their money on legal fees,
Comp doctors and private eyes....
So inspite of all the real evidence......
They can turn your case into lies!

So....if you're badly injured at work
