Junior TaeKwonDo Class (5 to 13 years old)
Your child will learn martial arts basics, goal setting, self-respect, and achievement. This program provides vigorous exercise and increases fine and gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination and sharp reflexes. The 3 areas that benefit children in this program are:
Body - Builds Strength, Speed, Coordination
Mind - Builds Concentration, Self-Control, Discipline
Spirit - Builds Respect for others, Integrity, Character
Children learn to achieve large successes in small steps.
Sport Competition Class
Sport, Competition, High intensity, Endurance, Flexibility.
This program, is for the student that wants to train for tournaments The student will develop a stronger body, a sharper mind, and a healthier lifestyle. TaeKwonDo classes are known for there aerobic training that helps maintain a more fit body.
Objectives of Taekwondo:
To develop an appreciation for Taekwondo as a sport and an art
To achieve physical fitness through positive participation
To improve mental discipline and emotional equanimity
To learn self-defense skills
To develop a sense of responsibility for one self and others
Taekwondo is primarily a kicking art, often with a greater emphasis on the sport aspect of the art. Taekwondo stylists tend to fight at an extended range, and keep opponents away with their feet. It is a hard/soft, external, fairly linear style and is known for being very powerful. There is a lot of competition work in many dojongs. Training tends to emphasize sparring, but has forms, and the basics are important as well.
Adult HoShinDo HapKiDo System (13 and older)
Hapkido is a complete system of self-defense. Hapkido employs the usage of minimal force to overcome a stronger opponent. Hapkido is known for the throws and takedowns as well as joint locks. The HoShinDo system is based on natural movements of the human body, this is based on the openings that is created by you or your attacker.
