Welcome to the internet home of Columbus Messianic Truth, a Columbus, Ohio bible study and fellowship group striving to recover scriptural truths as they were taught in the first century. We are dedicated to combating the numerous unscriptural doctrines that plague the church today. We believe:
We have one eternal God, the Father, who created all things. (Deut 6:4)
We have one Messiah, Yahshua, who was made both Lord and Messiah by the Father. (Acts 2:36)
The Holy Spirit is the power and presence of God within the regenerated believer. (Luke 1:35)
Salvation is attained by grace through faith alone, and is conditionally kept by faith and obeying the Torah. (Matt 7:23)
God supernaturally created the universe in six 24-hour days, about 6,000 years ago. (Ex 20:11)
Yahshua will return for the church at the end of the Great Tribulation. (Matt 24:29-31)
At death, a person's spirit (breath) returns to God (Ecc 12:7), and he sleeps until the Second Coming. (Dan 12:2)
Hell, or The Lake of Fire, is where the unregenerate and disobedient will physically burn until both their body and soul are destroyed. (Matt 10:28)
The originally penned scriptures are the infallible revelation of God; however modern translations contain translator bias and errors.
Yahshua is the true name of our Messiah. "Jesus" is neither his original name nor a proper transliteration.
Today's "Christian" holidays are of pagan origin, and promote a replacement messiah. (Jer 10:2-6)
Our method of biblical interpretation is simple: We use our God-given common sense, logic, and reasoning abilities to understand scripture in the proper hebraic context that the original audience would have understood it. One does not need a degree in theology or a thick commentary to understand our Creator. We abandon preconceived ideas and biases, and hold to scripture as the highest authority -far above any traditions established by men, regardless of their popularity. We do not believe that any major biblical doctrine is a "mystery" at all. Our God is NOT an author of confusion.

HOW TO FELLOWSHIP
Regardless of your personal beliefs, we encourage you to join us for fellowship. We meet every Friday night; time and location varies. We recommend you have an interlinear (with Strong's Numbers) or literal bible translation to use. If you are interested in the solid food of scripture and getting together to discuss it, please email us!
