All About BASKETBALL
This page will attempt to tell you what you need to know about baketball.
This page also contains links to what I consider the best Basketball sites that I find.
THE RULES:
The rules are simple. It is a simple game!
1:You are allowed five [5] people on the court at any one time during the match.
2:You must dribble [bounce] the ball when you have it before you start moving. Unless you pass the ball before moving.
3:You are not allowed to dribble the ball stop dribbling then start again. This is called a 'double dribble' and causes the other teame to gaine controle of the ball.
4:You are not allowed to cross the center line then cross back again. This is called a 'cross court' and gives the control of the ball tothe other team.
5:This is a non contact sport this means you are not alowed to touch the other player when they have the ball. If you do this is called a 'foul' this also gives the ball to the opposition.
6:You are not alowed to touch the other player when they are taking a shot for goal this cuases them to take a "free through" from the free ththrough line.
7:You are not alowed to step out of the court when you have the ball this causes you to give the ball to the opposition.
