PUPPIES
In producing puppies that are for sale to the public we are aware of the awesome responsiblity involved with a breed such as the AKITA. If you desire a puppy from Cold Mountain Akitas you must trust me in assisting you with finding the correct temperament for your situation. Every puppy is the MOST IMPORTANT puppy in the litter. Each goes into a home with humans as part of a pack. We will carefully look at what your lifestyle is. If you live alone that is much different than if you live in a family with neighborhood children coming in and out and soccer games and sleep overs etc. An alpha puppy would not be the best in a very active expanded family type home. You would want a puppy who by nature is relaxed, calm, flexible, submissive, and confident. Perhaps there is a puppy who holds back, is more aloof...that puppy may do well with one owner or a couple who live quietly, who go off camping by themselves and want a companion. It is a huge responsibility to assist in bringing Akitas into the World. That is why the two training classes are mandatory. Spending two 8 week periods with other dogs, other people, a trainer will make a difference for the entire life of the Akita and you! Every member of the family is STRONGLY encouraged to attend each class. It lets me know this Akita and family will have that time to socialize and learn, to bond and get to know each other.
HANDLING I handle any puppies I produce at no fee. If I need to travel &/or stay overnight I ask that you reimburse me for gas & lodging expenses. I will handle Akitas I have not produced occassionally. Fee negotiable. I am willing to assist in training Akitas for the Show ring as well.
STUD SERVICE Available to approved females. CH Cold Mountain Above The Clouds (WS039541/11)-CIRRUS is available on a limited basis to bitches of merit. Current 2/2007 CERF normal, OFA GOOD hips, OFA NORMAL elbows, OFA NORMAL patellas. DNA profile # V326283. Cirrus finished his championship June 2005 with a 4 point major under respected judge MR.
