chapter 10 describes the destruction of the city. This is usually interpreted as a burning fire being scattered over the city after being taken from under the whirling wheels.
Interpreters puzzle how the leading angel could pick up burning fire in his hands.
Interpreters see the fire as being scattered over and destroying the city.
Ufo interpreters see the fire as being distributed from flying craft.
As no mention is made of buildings being destroyed, a flesh destroying weapon is surmised.
However, the text states that the fire was simply taken away and strewn amongst umarked buildings.
This sounds like discriminatory germ warfare akin to that performed as part of the Egyptian plagues.
The puzzle is solved if the definition of anthrax is looked up:
It derives from the Greek for Burning Coals referring to the boil pustules it causes.
