Coaches! 101 a non-profit corporation with an ideal mission to teach children the fundamentals of sports. This summer Coaches! 101 will be sponsoring a sporting event for the youth of Hudson County. The Summer camp is only a couple months long; more like two, and it will host a few sporting events that will allow the kids to enjoy the game of sports.
The first sporting event is a basketball tournament that teaches the kids the fundamentals of Basketball. The event will be in Hudson County at an out door court in Hoboken NJ. It is designed for boys and girls ages 10-18 to join in and participate in the activities, and learn the game of basketball.
This is a free event, which should take place from June and end in August, also the event will be from 4pm to 6:30pm. It is an after school or after summer school program. The event will teach the children the proper way to play sports with out getting any injuries.
Coaches! 101 will also have credited Coaches that will help in the teaching process of the game to insure the education in sports is shown, and kids stay injured free. Coaches! 101 was Founded by Omar Dyer from Hoboken NJ, who went to the University of Oregon. Omar has a title name called TheFan on numerous web pages like www.helium.com and his personal web page www.webspawner.com/users/coaches101. He has written a book about Defensive tactics that has help high school kids from Hudson County stay injury free.
Omar is NJ certified with an Associates Degree in Child Education, and he also has along with certification that requires him to handle CPR to adults and Children from Hudson Milestones; a American Red Cross provider, and Bergen- Hudson Charter; also an American Red Cross provider.
Coaches! 101 host the Impact Player Award, this award is given to the student that completes the following.
How to be an Impact player:
An impact player is a player that shows the greatest amount of sportsman ship during the game. This person has to have made plays in the game that has changed to out come of the game.
To be an impact player a kid must place the team’s goal as the number one goal. Impact Player is not about highlight reels and new material, an impact player should be the vocal lead and lead by example. To be an Impact Player a candidate should submit an Instant review of impact player status. Then TheFan will review that person stats and if the request is in before the deadline High School Sports will make a visit to the game and look at how the kid interacts with the team, fans, coaches and the game. An impact player is the kid that can do it all serve in community service and help other teammates in pre, or post extracurricular activities. Impact Player rules!
1. Have been a strong leader in the program and shown play making ability.
2. Have help other teammates achieve their goals and placed the We in team.
3. Must have a passing grade point average in school.
4. Must be an outstanding student on all levels in side and out side.
5. Impact player has to have changed the follow of the game.
6. Have also shown good sportsmanship, is fan friendly, coaches’ friendly.
7. Has good sportsmanship and leads the team with effort at being the greatest humanitarian on the team.
8. Has been able to over come the odds and show great leader ship.
9. The teachers in the school have him at the near top of the list.
10. Must excel in all phases of the game, with the officials, coaches, players, fans, and Media (PreMedia, Post Media attention.)
