Micro Growing
Micro Growing
Heard of Micro Brewing?
Well Micro Growing is the ultimate with amazing results
Indoor growing has changed!
The indoor systems that people use are a mix of ideas
from trial and error proven methods are a result of experimentation.
I was searching for a way to grow my favorite vegetables Tomatoes and Peppers in a confined space since I live in an apartment without sufficient lighting.
I was soil based in separate pots. This seemed tedious
and results were not satisfactory. I should mention I am disabled
and getting soil to my apartment was not fun. There had to be a better easier way to maintain an Indoor Vegetable Garden or Herbal Garden.
I jumped on the information highway and came across so many
informative sights that I felt my love for gardening come back to me even if it was not with soil as my grandparents once grew their vegetables in.
The knowledge I have gained has made feel useful again because of physical restrictions I can still grow my own food. Sometimes the simplest things in life can make you feel so good. I feel the need to share this because it is a great hobby that even children can participate. No matter where you live or how small a place you live in you can grow food that is amazing. The best part it is cheap and can be made from scraps and old furniure.
Times have changed and growing methods are so simple that people are capable of growing their favorite vegetables continuously in a closet, a old dresser converted or hutch, China Cabinet, Armoire, Pantry. You could build a simple cabinet and turn it into a beautiful piece of furniture by staining or painting add some knobs and trim.
We start with the cabinet selection which can start as small as One square foot for one plant to as large as you want. Each plant needs minimum one square foot depending on plant hight. Our options are 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and on, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 or 3x3, 3x4 and so on. Length and depth depends on square feet and height is your preference or that of the cabinet you are using. The idea is for it to match the funiture you have so it blends in as if it belongs there.
I prefer 3 to 4 to 5 feet high but you can go right up to the ceiling if you like and maintain everything in one unit.
Your micro grower will contain three or four compartments: the Utility Room, the Mother Room, the Flower Room and the Clone Room. The Clone Room could be kept in the Mother Room if enough hight in the room and add a shelf with a Grow Light.
