Boys & Girls Club Upcoming Events Spring 2006
"Power Hour" - Homework help & tutoring program held Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:45 pm. Earn points for prizes & trips by doing homework & educational work. Pizza party monthly for those who attend 10 times.
Kiwanis Reading Program- Mondays at 6:30 PM - Improve your reading skills and have fun with members of the Kiwanis Club and OFA Key Club.
Make Youth Aware Program- Held Friday afternoons with St. Lawrence Valley Prevention Council. Drug, alcohol, tobacco prevention, cooperative learning, cooking, fitness, nutrition and more. No sign-ups necessacary.
Diversity Festivals - First Friday night of every month- food, music, games, costume contest and more 6:00-9:00 PM.
Girls Basketball League - Tuesday nights starting in April and going until June. Games at 6:15, 7:15, and 8:15 PM. For girls grades 6-12.
Elementary Basketball League - Wed. and Thurs. after school for children in grades 3-5 starting in April and running until early June. Games are for 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Also features clinics from area coaches on Monday afternoons.
Junior Basketball League - Thursday and Saturday evenings starting in April and running until early June. For boys in grades 6-9 (NO JV) and girls in grades 6-12. Games are scheduled for either 7:00 or 8:00 PM on each night.
Senior Basketball League - Monday and Wednesday evenings starting in April and running until early June. For boys grades 9-12 (or any JV players). Games are scheduled for either 7:00 or 8:00 PM on each night.
OBGC Service Club - Service club for ages 11-18....members will take part in service projects around the community as well for the Boys & Girls Club....meetings every 2 weeks on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 PM.
