Religion: Recognize God loves us and rejoices when we repent. Discuss examples of fairness and unfairness. LESSON 4 in the BLUE RECONCILIATION FOLDER is DUE TOMORROW, Monday
Feb. 6. Please return the entire blue folder when returning the packets. Sister Mary Therese will begin listening to the children recite the 10 Commandments.
Reading: Our new story this week is a fable called A FROGGY FABLE. We will work on comprehension, sequence, and oral reading.
Phonics: Explore long and short vowels and the different patterns that vowels have in words.
Spelling: The spelling words are the words your child is using this week in word sorts. The spelling test will be Friday.
English: Verbs for past, present, and future. Introduce adjectives describing our senses.
Math: Subtract a double digit number from another double digit number with and without regrouping. Sister Mary Therese will be in tomorrow 2/6 to test the children on their math sets. Please study the math facts with your child a few minutes each night.
Science: Understand processes of erosion. Learn that human activity affects the environment, that can be a positive or negative effect on their surroundings.
Handwriting: Practice, trace and write lowercase letters h, and f. Review the letters learned thus far.
