Circles of Glory
"For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To God be the Glory. Amen." (Romans 11:36)
Thank you for stopping by. I realize your time is valuable, so thank you for sharing a few moments here.
For as long as I can remember words have fascinated me. It wasn't until I became a Christian at 11-years-old, that God's Word became a passion. Writing has always brought JOY to me, even as far back as Jr. High, when the English teacher assigned impromptu classroom essays. Although I enjoyed it, I never really thought of writing as something I wanted to pursue as a career, because I also loved the sciences and especially medical science. So, it took completing my degree in Medical Technology, working in the laboratory for a few years, and having to retire from that area due to health issues (arthritis/connective tissue disorder), for me to slow down enough to look up and listen to God.
It wasn't that I hadn't tried to "do things FOR God." I had. It's just that I hadn't tried to "do things WITH God." Sometimes, we make up our minds that we want to go a certain direction, and we ask God to bless our path, before we ask God, "Do you want me to go there--or another direction?"
One thing I have learned along this journey, and I hope I can spend the rest of my life sharing with others, is that our lives were meant to bring God GLORY (shining weightiness-----we're to be HEAVY FOR GOD!!---SHINING for Him!). Until we complete that "circle of glory and blessing," ---from Him, through Him, and then BACK TO HIM"--FULL CIRCLE!!--- we can't know true JOY, PEACE, or what real LIFE is all about.
My greatest joy comes when I know that circle is being completed and God is getting full GLORY!---times like when I'm speaking to a couples Sunday School class or marriage enrichment class, and I know that those couples are connecting with God together, as they glorify Him. Although my words are simple and so is my life, God, who created the worlds with a Word, is the One on whom I depend to give me the words to speak, to write, and to pray. "To Him be the GLORY, forever and forever. Amen." (Eph.3:21)
