Hey! My name is C.C. & this page has been created to introduce myself & my family.
I am 35 yrs old and living in beautiful Eastern North Carolina with my wonderful husband of 8 yrs and our precious little boy (he goes by 'big boy' now...lol).
I have some college in computers & have just recently resumed my studies (at-home). I am studying more about Computers & Web Page Design. I hope 2 work independantly from my home some day. I had worked in Restaurant Management for many years until I became unexpectantly disabled in 2003.
In January of 2004, I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis (bone disease) of the right hip. I had a Free Vascularized Fibular Graft for my hip in March of 2004. Within 2 months following surgery I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (nerve disorder) in my right foot. Within a few months of that, the RSD had spread to my right ankle & lower calf.
Since the on-set of my disabilities, I have been channeling my energy to more involvement with my son's school & education, online support groups, studying, blogging and getting back into calligraphy.
My hubbie is a Computer Scientist & a very hard workin' man. He has a motorcycle and, along with our son, enjoys ridin' the Carolina country-side. We are all very involved with the Cub Scouts. Hubbie & I are both Webelos Den Leaders and our son is a 2nd yr Webelos, preparin' 2 cross-over to Boy Scouts in February 2005. We all enjoy the outdoors and travellin' to new places.
My son is the #1 Love-Of-My-Life ! He suffers from Bi-Polar and ADHD and we have all worked so very hard to get him where he is today. He is 11 yrs old and in the 5th Grade. He's really bright and funny and just a wonderful boy. He's really athletic and enjoys Baseball, Basketball and Football. He also enjoys riding his bike, skateboarding, Geo-Cashing with his Dad...and who could leave out...Video Games!! We're workin' on gettin' him a Kart 2 start racin' as this is his all-time favorite sport. He hopes 2 race in Nascar some day.
