1 Open hood take rubber gasket out at back of hood and firewall. This holds heat in and air pressure builds up under hood.

If you have to bolt one end to motor mount and one to mount on frame this is for front wheel drive cars most real wheel cars can bolt on a bracket and then around frame. Chain goes on side motor swings away from . Start car watch motor rock bolt chain on side it moves away from to stop this wasted energy. No efect on ride no noise at all. DO NOT BOLT CHAIN ON ANY SUSPENSION PARTS EVEN SWAY BAR.
This is worth up to 2 tenths of a second.
3 Install a 160 or 180 degree thermostat to keep motor cooler. Some cars will need new chip or modify it mostly newer computer cars. Not legal on road for polution controled cars will not pass inspections.
1 to 2 tenths.
4 Automatic cars must use shift kit or your waisting time. $30 to $80 depends on make. Can use BM transmission fluid in Gm or other cars made in us to make car shift faster even with out
shift kit.

6 Recurve distribitor on older us cars. Buy a distribitor recurve kit. $12 and up. Open distribitor cap take rotor off. Now you will see springs and wieghts take spings off use lighter spring. i use springs only not weights.

7 Advance the timing. Loosen distribitor bolt. Turn distribitor to advance timing. all cars are different so ask if you need help from parts store. I suggest using timing light check where it is then advance 2 degrees and test car make sure to tighten bolt before testing. you can advance up to 4 degrees easily.Some computer controled cars can not do this they need reprograming by computer chip.
1 to 3 tenths makes big differance off idle acceleration.
8 Preset supspension. Right wheel add spring rubber the stores listed here should have them or other part stores. Jack car up on right rear. insert 2 spring rubber opposite each other front of spring and back of spring or strut also.. front wheel drive cars can do both rear wheels . Gives better stance and keeps weight on front wheels more. Cost $12.

9 Old time trick. Carburators or anything with air cleaner. take lid off flip it over you might need longer bolt or threaded rod to do this. If you want to make it look good buy a cheap air cleaner and make sure the lid is same size as air cleaner filter in your car. Thier will be space around air cleaner housing that lets more air in you will see what i mean. You could also drill 1/2 in holes in back of air cleaner housing to let more air in and not use lid upside down or new one. Air cleaner gets dirty fatser depends on roads. You could also just get performance air cleaner and put that on .
1 to 2 tenths easy
10 Exhaust system. you can make big improvement with just a turbo muffler. Measure exhaust pipe outside diameter. Then buy muffler that fits over pipe. Try to find one same size as your muffler even if you use glass pack straight thru muffler. Cut old muffler out or have shop do it. Cut as close to muffler as possible so you have plenty of pipe to fit new muffler to. KEEP TAIL PIPE THIS IS BIG MISTAKE KEEP IT BOLT IT ONTO NEW MUFFLER. No horse power lose sometimes makes more power and less noise in car. Cost can be $25 and up depends on muffler some stainless go for hundreds.
2 tenths or more one of the best cheap ways to sound good and back it up.
