CLEVO Profile - Founded in 1983, Clevo has gained a fine reputation as a developer and manufacturer of notebook computers. Because of the high-tech and niche market positioning of our products, we have taken many honors in computer product evaluations conducted around the world. Of course it's not surprising that the affirmation we have received from the professional press and overseas consumers has given our sales a rapid boost. It also explains why we were once ranked fourth among Taiwan's outstanding exporters.
Our OEM/ODM/distributor business is currently our most important line of work. We market our products in more than 50 countries, and have established service centers in the USA, Germany, Britain, and China.
We merged with our subsidiary Kapok in January 1999 in order to enhance efficiency. This move has allowed us to share resources, provide mutual assistance, expand capacity, improve quality, open new market niches, and achieve better sales.
In addition, we are in the midst of actively developing new products that include LCD PCs and IAs. We hope to offer a more diverse assortment of products in the future. It's worth mentioning that we expect to open a new plant in June 2000, which will allow us to increase our current production capacity of 100,000 units per month to 250,000 units per month.
