Booker T. Washington's national monument
Be it directly or indirectly, financially or inspirationally, Washington devoted his life to the advancement of the Negros in America and aided in the establishment of many reknown organizations for African Americans. Washington's "practical"(Reeser) views were the pathway from slavery to intergration for the American Negro and his talent for gaining other's support helped pave that pathway.
