Grace Prayer Bulletin # 14

Grace Prayer Bulletin #14
Dear Brethren,
One of those whom we sent a bulletin to you on was Noble and Charlotte Vater. It is with sadness and joy we communicate to you that Charlotte has went to be with the Lord this last Tuesday. She has had cancer for some time now. She was buried in Porter Rico where she felt it was her home and her people. Please pray for Noble during this time of morning. To God be the glory.

Concerning Grace Baptist Missions:
I came upon the main subject for this Bulletin 5-6 weeks ago. They sent me some material via snail mail. I found it to be very sound and well principled. The main thrust of this mission is to return missions back to the authority and responsibility of the local Church. This is very Biblical and I believe we all need to act upon this. God has ordained the local assembly, not parachurch organizations. We too often take decisions out of local churches and the place for the work of God is in the hands of the local assembly. God has ordained Elders for the purpose of training and sending out missionaries across town and across the ocean.
I would strongly encourage all of you to approach your Elders and fellow Elders about this important issue and labor towards church planting in your city and around the world. I highly recommend this organization and rejoice that God has placed this burden upon their hearts.

Yours in the Great Shepherd,

Rob Gerard

Grace Baptist Mission Agency International

A service agency helping churches and missionaries to go "...and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..." (Matt. 28:19-20) We understand this to mean planting churches. We also believe this is the responsibility of the local church. Therefore, we do not send missionaries, but help churches to do so. The local church has the spiritual responsibility to Select, Support, and Send God's servants to the mission field. "We send our best" must be the byword for every church ( Acts 11:22; 13:1-5).

WHY ARE WE?

In response to the trend of some mission boards to refuse to take missionaries who hold to the doctrines of grace. In response to the trend of some mission boards to usurp the Biblical role of the local church. To help local Baptist churches send missionaries directly to the mission field. To advise missionaries who wish to be sent by local churches. To research and prepare materials to help churches and missionaries.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

The plenary, verbal inspiration, infallibility, inerrancy and authority of the Bible, which is the Word of God. The deity of Christ, His pre-existence, eternality, vicarious atoning death for His elect and His bodily resurrection. Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Personal and ecclesiastical separation. The personal, premillennial, pretribulational return of Christ for His church. (A copy of the complete doctrinal statement is available upon request)

WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED?

Speaking at churches and conferences, encouraging individuals to become missionaries and churches to send and support missionaries & missions. Consultation services to churches and individual missionaries. Display table at conferences and in churches
