Character: The Pit Bull Terrier is a loyal dog, tough on itself,and tenacious. It makes a great watchdog, has lots of stamina, it makes a good family dog.
Activity: The Pit Bull Terrier needs plenty of exercise, enjoys running along side a bicycle or catching a ball. It also enjoys playing fetch, as it also enjoys to give lots of love and affection to it's loved ones.
Terrier must be taught not to pull on the leash, as fully grown it becomes very strong.
Provided proper socialization has taken place, this breed gets along fine with other household pets. The APBT is also a good watch dog and it will also protect your home.
The American Pit bull Terrier is a good family dog, and tolerant of small children.
Shedding is minimal; therefore little grooming is required.
IN THE 1900'S THE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER WAS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR BREEDS IN AMERICA.
