My story!

My story is one of God's love and miracles! When I was 2 years old I had a massive stroke. There was no reason for my stroke, I was painting a picture with watercolors and the next thing you know my dad was giving me "Mouth to Mouth Recessitation." Although I didn't know it, I was in a fight for survival. I was rushed to a local hospital where they sent me straight to Duke University Medical Center. My parents were told by the Nerologists that I had, had a massive stroke and they didn't know the cause; they figured it may be from the result of a brain tumor or metabolic disease, each of which could have been fatal. I underwent weeks of medical study, but the doctors said that whatever was in my system that caused the stroke it had mysteriously dissappeared. The doctors informed my parents that it may take a year for me to talk again (if ever) and 6 months for me to walk again (if ever), however in 2 weeks time I was in front of Duke Hospital when I sang the entire song of "Jesus Loves Me This I Know." Within a couple of days after that, I began to walk!
It was during all of this that my dad rededicated his life to Christ and made a promise with Christ to live for Him and be His minister. The doctors could not believe my improvement, they said with my parents permission that they would like to document my case as a "MIRACLE!" That suited us just fine, because that's exactly what it was a Miracle straight from my Lord! I thank God that He spared my life. Because of my stroke I was left with a paralysis on my right side, which causes my right hand to stay shut. I don't mind though because it reminds me of the Lord that saved my life and sent my dad to do His work in ministry!
Yes, the Lord saved me that day, but the greatest Salvation came over 2,000 years ago when He took my place on Calvary's Cross! "For God So loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!" (John 3:16)
Maybe you are dealing with an obstacle in your own life as well...maybe you have had some troubles....if so put your faith and trust in the Lord and He will be there for you, I am living proof!
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble! Psalm 46:1
