CITY OF BROOKSIDE VILLAGE, TEXAS
The City of Brookside Village, Texas was incorporated into a village on December 28, 1959. On June 6, 1974 the village was then incorporated into a city. The data compiled from the U.S. Census Bureau in 2000, the City of Brookside Village's population was 1,967. The City of Brookside Village is considered a General Law Type A Municipality under Title 28, Chapter 11 of the Civil Statutes of the State of Texas.

A non-profit organization called the "Informed Brookside Village Citizens", also known as "IBVC", hold their meetings, along with a potluck, once a month. IBVC welcomes and encourages the residents of Brookside Village to come out for this informative meeting and not to mention the great food. President of the club is Eva Milstead.
