There are four main changes you can make right now!

Give up meat and dairy--they are acid and greatly hinder health, especially arthritic complaints.

Increase drinking of alkaline water (certainly not acid water).

Take a powdered greens supplement daily to promote alkalinity.

Plan meals around vegetables, legumes, and salads as a simple alternative to the North American diet.

Recipe of the week:
Quinoa Salad and dressing
5 cups cooked Quinoa
1 cup red onion, chopped fine
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup almonds, slivered or chopped pecans
Method:
Toss Quinoa, vegetables and almonds or pecans together.
Dressing:
1/8 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/8 cup tamari or Bragg's liquid aminos
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 T. olive oil
Fresh ground pepper to taste (optional)
Combine lemon juice, tamari, or liquid aminos, water, garlic, olive oil and mix well. Toss with salad ingredients. Serve at room temperature.
Serve this salad with steamed vegetables like carrots and broccoli.
