Welcome to my family ancestry webpage. I feel privileged and honored to have had so many ancestors who became the pioneer families of Austin County, Texas, the cradle of Stephen F. Austin's colony in Texas with its colonial capitol located at San Felipe only a few miles from the spot where I live. I was born here in Bellville, Texas as were my parents. Our ancestors have a vivid and colorful history coming to this place from Alabama, England, Germany, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennyslvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, some documented being in this country in the early 1600's. Many of them lived in several of these states before traveling on to Texas. These early pioneers endured the hardships of life, fought the Indians, fought the battles of the American Revolution, the Texas Revolution and the Civil War. Their story is huge, and if while looking through my ancestry tree, you come across those who may be linked to your own tree, please contact me via e-mail. Hopefully, my book on these Early Pioneers will be finished before you have a chance to read the epitaph on my tombstone! It's over 150 pages long and continues to grow.
